With Christmas on it’s way, it’s time to start thinking about gifts for those we love and we all know that some of the best gifts are the ones we create ourselves. They are special gifts that give a little bit of ourselves with them.
On one of my visits to Michael’s Craft Store last week, I found these adorable wooden star boxes. The best part was that they were only $1.49 each! I knew that they would make a great gift for someone special. So I grabbed my Mod Podge and this adorable animal print wrapping paper to create some decoupaged star boxes.
I cut the wrapping paper to match the shape of the lid of the box. First I applied Mod Podge to the lid and applied the paper.
For the sides, I cut long strips to match the width of the box. I applied the Mod Podge in small sections and simply wrapped the paper around the box.
I allowed the Mod Podge to dry and then I applied a coat over the entire box again.
These little boxes turned out so cute and will make a great gift or stocking stuffer.
