Double Stacked Ring Woven Bracelet

Happy Monday Live Creatively Inspired Readers. I’m Carol from The Answer Is Chocolate, and this is my first post here at the LCI blog.  I love making just about everything from cards, home décor item, seasonal crafts and jewelry. Today I’m sharing a fun woven bracelet that requires very few supplies. For this project you will need:

  • Waxed Cotton cord or other stringing material
  • Two large metal loops or washers
  • Jump Rings
  • Super glue

For this bracelet I used a package of metal rings you can find in  the jewelry making section of most craft stores.  You could easily use large washers for this as well. Layer two of the rings on top of each other. Cut lengths of the waxed cotton cord ( I cut about 12 inches for each side) and secure to the two rings using overhand knots.

I’m not showing the square knot technique here but there are a number of video tutorials for making woven or shamballa style bracelets. It’s a basic macrame knot.  Make as many knots on either side of the bracelet as desired.

When you’re satisfied with the length, slide five extra large jump rings onto either side. Cross the ends of your bracelet and then weave an adjustable slide closure over the crossed ends.

You could make several variations of these for a stacked wrist look or as gifts!  Anywhere you finish off your knots, secure with a dab of super glue before cutting to prevent fraying.

  1. Pretty! I like the stacked idea, you could wear it either way. Those hammered rings are beautiful.
