I don’t think anyone will argue with me that Christmas is typically the busiest time of the year. Although there’s shopping, decorating, and baking to be done; we still want to spend quality time with loved ones during the holidays. That’s why I’m a firm believer in easy Christmas decorating ideas. After all, decking the halls doesn’t have to be complicated. So today I’m sharing simple tips to create a festive look throughout your home!
Marry everyday items with your Christmas decor. Here, a French kitchen scale is adorned with vintage ornaments while an ironstone pitcher is stuffed with a faux evergreen tree.
Put leftover ornaments to good use. A white ironstone plate cradles a strand of shiny beads and small ornaments. To add a little height, a small silvery Christmas tree is added. Sprinkle glitter flakes around the plate for added bling.
Pillar candles don’t cost a lot of money and can be stuffed into almost any vessel. Add greenery by cutting a few snippets from your Christmas tree. You can also use wire clippers to cut pieces of greenery from garland, which is often cheaper than buying sprays of greenery. Sprinkle a few baubles or even pine cones around the candle arrangement for added interest.
Keep your Christmas tablescape simple and add a sparkly ornament or two atop each place setting. To make the event memorable, tell guests they can keep the ornaments!
If you like paler colors at Christmas, you can paint any basket you have lying around. Stuff it with greens and ornaments! And now for the last of my easy Christmas decorating ideas.
Tuck votive candles inside mason jars partially filled with flour (to resemble snow); then tie a couple jingle bells around the top with vintage lace or ribbon leftover from last year. Then line them up the stairs for a cozy look!
