How to Decorate Bottles for Christmas

I’m a firm believer in keeping things as simple as possible for Christmas, what with all the shopping, baking, and decorating that needs to be done. You can easily get in over your head! So today I’m sharing how to decorate bottles for Christmas. Anyone can do it, and it won’t cost you a fortune, either!

Christmas at Town and Country LivingI love collecting bottles so I thought, why not dress them up for the holidays and line them up altogether?

How to Decorate Bottles for ChristmasSome of the bottles are left plain on purpose. I didn’t want the display to be overkill.

Decorating bottles for ChristmasThe silvery bottle on the right was found in a dump. I used gilding paper to give it a little pizzazz and then tied a narrow red ribbon around its neck. Easy to do and it adds a little bling to the line-up.

Christmas Style BottlesThe jelly jar at left wears a peppermint stripe ribbon and contains a small votive. The middle bottle simply wears a silvery bow. I created a ring of berries for the third bottle by snipping off a length of stem from a floral spray and shaping into a circle.

Vintage bottles at ChristmasI especially love the crusty bottles, like the one at left wearing a sparkly star.

Aqua Bottles dressed in red for ChristmasAqua bottles look wonderful paired with red embellishments. You can find old bottles at flea markets, thrift shops, garage sales, and more. I’ve even found them in the garbage!

How to decorate bottles for ChristmasIf you need some last-minute Christmas decor, look around the house and see what you can quickly dress up with holiday ribbon, berries, gift tags, etc. You’ll soon have a charming and simple display!
