I am going to show you how to make a no sew rose headband in five minutes.
Recently my daughter and I were out shopping. And came across beautiful rose headbands.
I wanted to buy one for her but at 35.00 each I declined.
I am sure if I had a sewing machine I could whip one up pretty fast.
But I don’t….
So the next best thing for me…..glue!
I already had all I needed on hand.
Whenever I am out thrift shopping I always pick up lace trim.
To make this you just need lace trim, hot glue and some old jewelry for the bling.
REMEMBER TO USE CAUTION WHEN USING A HOT GLUE GUN.
I know it looks like I am yelling with all caps. But it is really important for all to read the above before doing this project.
Hot glue is HOT!
Take your lace trim and start to bunch it or scrunch it up.
As you are scrunching it up start to glue it on the seam.
This is where you must use caution with the hot glue gun.
You can also use e-6000 glue but I did not have any on hand.
Keep gluing and scrunching until you get the flower size you want.
Mine was a little poofy so I clipped the inner flower just a bit so I could lay it flat.
I then glued the center bling.I used a mismatched earring I already had.But look at garage sales and thrift shops for cheap pieces.
Next glue the lace ribbon to the back.
Turn over the flower apply the glue and attach the lace ribbon.
I just winged it as far as the length that I needed.I made it a little longer knowing we could trim it.
Leave a little extra room for it to hang a bit.
And that’s it!
My daughter loves her new headband!
I was thinking if you kept the ribbon a little longer this would make a great way to adorn a gift that could be worn after receiving.
