Hi all, Carol from The Answer Is Chocolate here sharing a dessert that is perfect for Labor Day or any time. These are super easy to make and the best part is you don’t even have to turn on the oven.
Ingredients:
- 2 Pkg Cream Cheese
- 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Graham Crackers (I used Honey Maid and used one sleeve from the box)
- Strawberries
- Dark Chocolate (I used 3 regular sized Hershey’s dark chocolate bars)
- Whipping Cream
The cheesecake filling is simple. Mix 2 packages of cream cheese with one can of sweetened condensed milk; beat with hand mixer until well blended. Chill at least an hour but this is also a great make ahead so you can make it a day or more in advance. This will make enough filling for about 4 6 oz servings. I’m seeing a lot of mini desserts served in shot glasses and this would easily adapt to that.
While your filling is chilling, make your graham cracker crumbs , the dark chocolate ganache and slice strawberries.
For the crumb layer, crush graham crackers in food processor or you can break up and put in a large plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin. Mix with a little melted butter.
For the ganache, heat 1/3 C whipping cream in microwave until hot but not boiling. Break dark chocolate bars into bowl, pour whipping cream over, stir to blend and let cool.
I chilled my glasses but you don’t have to. Starting with the crumbs, spoon into glasses followed by a layer of the ganache and then the cream cheese filling. Repeat, ending with the sliced strawberries.
This looks SO good Carol! Definitely going to try making this, because I’m liking the “no-bake” element! 😉
