I have been wanting to make one of those no-sew fleece blankets with the fringes for a while but I didn’t really have a reason to make one . I have all boys and fringes aren’t really their thing this past Christmas I made one of these babies for my niece. I found the perfect fabric that reminded me of her and it took me a little over an hour to make it. I’m sure you could make it quicker but I was watching a movie at the same time so I was a little preoccupied.
1 1/2 yards of 2 different fleece fabrics that complement each other
Rotary cutter and mat
I started by squaring off my fabric so they were the exact same width and length.
Next, I cut a 5 inch square from each corner of the blanket cutting through both layers.
Now, spacing your cuts about 1 inch apart start cutting all the way across each side with your fringes being 1 inch wide and almost 5 inches deep.
Hand tie the fringes making square knots (right over left then left over right). Tighten snugly but not too tightly.
There you have it ~ a cute, warm and cuddly no-sew blanket.
