Mason Jar Easter ‘Basket’

Mason Jar Easter ‘Basket’

Mason Jar Easter Basket

So who’s ready for Easter?  I’m not….but I like knowing that there are some people out there who are so in tune with life that they are….sigh…that is NOT me!

To help those of you who will be scrambling as the day comes closer I have this easy to make in minutes cute candy-filled Mason Jar.  It’s pretty enough to look at but good enough to eat (and then you’re left with a mason jar and that’s always a good thing!).

I did this one in all pinks even though I don’t have any girls and you could of course make this in absolutely any color combination you would like.

You need a large mason jar with lid, some bunny ears {these were from the Dollar Tree} and candies ~ wrapped chocolates, jelly beans and Peeps and some ribbon or twine.

First, remove the ears from the headband and glue those using hot glue to the lid insert ~ you can get this off after the holiday so you can resuse the jar.  I soaked mine in warm water and just gently worked the ears off.

Layer your candies anyway you choose.  Add ribbon around the rim and there you have it.  You could also add a cute little tag to the ribbon if you were making these in mass.  A whole counter filled with these would be adorable!

So cute and simple. And it’s something I don’t have to store until next year. Just make another one when the time comes! Thanks for the idea!
