I can’t believe it’s already December 12th! Didn’t we just have Thanksgiving? I want to put my foot down on the gas peddle that has me feeling like we’re speeding towards Christmas just a bit too fast. It isn’t because I have a zillion hundred a lot to do, but rather because I am being very mindful this year of trying to enjoy as much of this season as possible.
Don’t just put up the Christmas decorations to get it done. Instead, enjoy the process of putting the decorations up, and then admire them. Truly sit and take it all in. For you.
Don’t just scribble out your Christmas cards mindlessly to get them into the mail. Stop and think about those who will be on the receiving end, and jot a quick note. In your own handwriting. Old school.
Don’t accept every holiday party invitation that comes your way. Instead, reserve some nights on your calendar for you and your family to enjoy some time together before Christmas. Watch a fun Christmas cartoon on TV. (My favorite is Rudolph.) Watch a fun Christmas movie like A Christmas Story. Make some popcorn and snuggle up together. Be thankful for these moments.
It was in this mindset that I came up with this special Merry Christmas free printable for you. I chose serene colors and images, but added a playful little flying reindeer across the top of the scene too!
