Polka Dots!
You can find them everywhere this season! Tops, dresses, skirts, shoes, wallets, hats…polka dots are definitely in and they’re as fun as ever. I personally love them most when the style channels a fun retro-50’s vibe.
Here are a few ways I’ve been styling polka dots lately! This photo from Myrtle Beach feature one of my favorite tops from Express. I had a gift card, so I stopped by Coastal Grand Mall while we were on vacation and picked up this peplum tank, along with a color blocked navy and white version since they were Buy 1 Get 1 for $9.99! My favorite way to wear it is with colored pants, like these coral ones from Old Navy. But, occasionally I like to pair it with something more neutral so I can pull out the red lipstick for a fun retro “pop”!

Of course, now that it’s fall, I need to cover up so I don’t freeze; here’s my cooler weather version of this outfit:
It’s the same top and pants, paired with a denim jacket, my Living Locket, and a coral bracelet. I refuse to totally give up summer, so I still like to wear my jellys with it…
This dress from Tailor & Stylist is one of my personal favorites; I feel like I’m stepping back in time when I wear it, and it fits like a dream. I love the dark polka dots on the light background {just like in my tank top}, and the collar just seals the deal for me. I love pairing it with sexy black heels or fun red flats, and of course a bright red cardigan!

I also have a few dresses that have the opposite effect; light dots on a dark background. I’m in love with my strapless high-low maxi {see how I styled it five totally different ways}, and I like the way the polka dots on the dress to the right aren’t perfectly round, so it’s just a little different than what you’d expect. Dresses like these work great with a belt and a cardigan!

If you’re not quite sure about wearing polka dots all over, you can start with some simple nail art too! Do a few small dots on an accent nail, or go wild on all ten!
