Pencil Pouch Upcycle

Pencil Pouch Upcycle

When I go to stores like Target and Michaels one of my favorite places to ‘shop’ are the dollar bins.  I always find the coolest things there and I don’t feel guilty if I’m only spending a few dollars.

A while back I found this little pouch {It feels like it’s made from a fabric similar to a drop cloth} that said If the crown fits….wear it.  I thought that was the cutest little saying.  I didn’t need it though…but then again I could use it in my purse for makeup, pens, papers, coupons…something…so I threw it into my cart.

In the bins a little further down the aisle were some little crown charms.  These were perfect for upcycling my little pouch.  I used E6000 to glue on the charms, added some little faux gemstones that I already had on hand at home to the top of the crowns and added a ball chain pull to my zipper.  This is so cute and cost less than $3.00 start to finish.

They have so many different pouches and there are charms for just about everything so it would be easy to customize one of these for almost any occasion.
