A Red Porch Makeover
I live in a tiny little cottage…with a charming little porch. In fact, it’s the smallest home I have ever lived in. Several years back…before my little cottage, I lived in a house with huge porches….all the way around my home. I couldn’t purchase enough furniture to furnish them. I tried, and I still have some left overs from those day. A cute little red rocker is one of the holdovers from those porches. I just couldn’t bare to part with it. The sun did a little bit of aging on it….which actually makes me even more fond of it. the chippy red paint is really just perfect.
On Wednesday Oct. 16th, on Deja Vue Designs, my porch will be in a tour of porches….it’s gonna look a little different from what you’re seeing it today…but I’m not telling you what….you’ll have to head over to Deja Vue Designs to see that. Actually you should visit every day that week…there are going to be twenty-five porches total all week-long.
Yes…you’ll see some of this stuff on my porch tour…but you’re also gonna see a WHOLE different look.
I love the pedestals that are built into this porch. They are perfect for a highlighted urn.
By shopping my house, I really never have to look very far to revamp any room of the house….the porch included. This red rocker seems a bit big for this porch…but the porch is cozy…and a rocker just concretes that feeling.
I love decorating for fall…and my rocker plays nicely with all my fall decor.
Do you love the brights of fall…or do you like the more natural fall look?
I’m so glad you came by to visit my little demure porch. I hope you’ll stop by again.
Before I leave…do you give your kids or grandkids something fun for Halloween? I always did. If you do…or even if you like little Halloween do dads….I made some really cute printables over at Deja Vue Designs….Head on over and get yours!
