Have you seen how expensive cell phone cases can be? And if you like having several cases to choose from, they can add up quickly. Today I’m showing you how to easily and temporarily update your cell phone case with washi tape for a new look anytime you want.
First, start with a case (plain – or no texture – is best) and your choice of washi tape, which you can find at almost any store in the craft aisle. This is Scotch Expressions brand decorative tape – I like it because they have cute designs and it’s really easy to reposition or remove it if you change your mind or want a different look.
You can take the time to line up your pattern or not – it’s really up to you!
Fold the ends inside the case so they’ll be hidden under your phone.
If you decide to cover the entire case, you’ll need to cut out the holes for charging, camera, etc.
Here’s the front view:
You can also experiment by alternating stripes…
Or making any design you can imagine.
Have you used washi tape before?
Here’s another washi tape craft I’ve done, and it was even featured in Woman’s Day Magazine!
I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!
