Bamboo Lamp

Do you share my love/obsession with bamboo? Especially this bamboo lamp! Y’all know how much I LOVE my lighting! I’m really not sure when that got started…it hasn’t been very long ago. I didn’t used to really care for bamboo all that much.. hmmm But my tastes are constantly changing and evolving, as yours probably are too. I’m kinda glad. This world would be pretty boring if we never changed our minds….however…it would probably be a lot less costly. 🙂 It really doesn’t have to be though. This gorgeous gal was really one of the most inexpensive recycled treasures I’ve found, as far as lamps are concerned anyway. When you see the before shots…I think you’ll understand 😉 . She had a long history with ugly…and a long ways to go before she was presentable. She didn’t even have a plug at the end of her cord. I guess you could say….she was at the end of her rope….well…. At least I think that’s why she sold so cheap….(Man I hate that word!) It just defiles treasures like her!

She was definitely a throwback to the seventies. I’m really not sure what the love affair with that horrid wheat color was…but it most definitely always speaks 70’s when you see it! It…and the avocado green….which is a shame they named it that…because I absolutely adore avocados!

Oh…by the way, they didn’t charge me for the dust! It was absolutely FREE!!! WOO HOO!!

I have to say….I’m a fan of burlap….but I was just tad horrified at the look of this lampshade….but the texture was terrific! I’m not sure why…but no matter what I did…this pic wouldn’t stop showing up sideways! :\

You gotta admit….it was bad! But she’s awesome now! I almost think she works for several styles! I guess you could say….”She’s versatile!” Whatever she is…I’m Lovin’ her!!!
